Hello Games has announced their new update to No Mans Sky. Let’s be honest, No Mans Sky didn’t have the best launch…It’s a great game to spend a couple of hours playing, but that’s about it. Spending more than a few hours playing it can seem like more of a chore and the very large AAA game price tag just doesn’t work when the game only entertains for such a short amount on time.
So me and I’m sure many other people are really hoping the latest update from Hello Games could be the start on the road of redemption for Hello Games and No Mans Sky. The new update titled “Atlas Rises Update” boasts “new and overhauled central storyline, portals, a new procedural mission system, trade improvements, system economies, joint exploration and more.” also…
In the Atlas Rises story, the fabric of existence is starting to falter.
A mysterious new interdimensional race have appeared.
Glitches are causing ancient portals to activate.
Our story brings a new context, quest system and branching narrative to No Man’s Sky.
30 hours of new story content.
Double the lore and interactions of the existing game.
Discover the truth behind the Abandoned Building logs, the World of Glass, the Sentinels, the Redemption of the Gek, and the meaning of sixteen…
After Waking Titan, Atlas Rises.
Along with all that are new worlds, new crashed freighters to find, brand new mission systems, a interstellar trading system with much more depth and large changes to the way the visor works and the UI.
Another nice touch is added depth of field and higher textures on lots on planetary objects and landscapes.
They have also added a way to create and customise the landscape around you, check out this video to see how.
There’s so many more things coming with this update. A lot of things that should have been in the base game and had been added later in the way of modding, but finally it seems Hello Games has taken a long look at what people think and disagree with in their game and taken it to heart, and most importantly added/removed them from their game. I will certainly be checking No Mans Sky out again after this update and I really wish the best of luck to Hello Games.
